The Final Lap

This particular note is dedicated to my fellow final year students of covenant university graduating 22/07/2011, however feel free to njoy it and apply where necessary

Well, it’s time already, the curtains will be open and it will be time to take our first bow in front of a live audience.
The last couple of years, we rehearsed our different roles in this play.
And now, it’s time to climb up the stage and “break a leg”.
Soon enough, we’ll all become so immersed in our various roles unable even to give a second thought to our co-actors.
This is our last “rehearsal” together, no better time to make mistakes and learn from them than b4 d play begins.
B4 we get up on the stage, let’s remember that after now, every1 is O.Y.O. But above all, let’s never forget where we r coming from and of course where we are going to.
This play is called “life”, the world is our ever attentive audience, the stage is opportunity and the playwriter is GOD.
Just like in normal plays, where we have the main actors, the “almost” main actors, the “waka-pass”, the producers and the directors, nothing differs in this play called life.
The point really is that everybody has a role to play. A “waka- pass” in today’s play could become the main actor in tomorrow’s play.
The good LORD Almighthy in his infinite mercies will guide us aright. AMEN!!!
Let's go all-out and wow d audience

What's the deal?

Ok, so today is d day after val, and i really wanted to do this yesterday, but... so here i am today, i'm just here basically to rant about how val's day is seen. I'm not so much of a fan of the whole paint the town red, buy all sorts of expensive gifts just because it's february 14. In my own personal opinion, it really shouldn't be a big deal, originally valentine's day was basically set aside to show love to the less fortunate around us(and trust me, there are very many of them, just open your eyes, some are even right under our noses), and now thanks to what i believe is the selfish attitude of people, valentine is no longer about what you can give to genuinely make some(who deserves it) happy, it's now more about what you can get, this especially applies to young girls, that's not to say guys don't have their own o! But really, in all honesty, if you are with someone you really care about, i don't think you need valentine's day to show "love" (abi, is it gift we are showing nowadays) to that person, you have 365 days a year to that, and it's not just always about the gifts, there's more to loving an individual than buying expensive gifts, it's just rather sad that most people  now value material things over all other things.
The long and short rily is that we should learn to show love to those we truly cherish as often as we can and not just in material ways, also, we should be able to genuinely reach out to the less privileged around, everything is not by money, you could touch someone's life just by taking out time to "chill" with them and get to know them better. i've had such experiences where i decided to take out time to get to know someone better, and trust me, it was a blessing not just for her but me also, today she's one of my very good friends.
Let's learn to give more and expect less.
Ciao!

Here i go...

Well, i finally plucked up the courage to actually start writing on(or is it in) a blog. and i must say it seems like it's going 2 be rather interesting. it took a lot to finally settle for a name. The name i initially wanted was unavailable and so were all other substitutes that popped into my mind and finally i settled for "As seen by Me". Not my first choice, but i believe it's good enough. basically, this is where i'm going to be sharing my view on things pertaining to life and living; serious mundane, heartfelt, you name it, i'll be sharing my personal thoughts and possibly thoughts of my close pals as well, so hang around, i promise not to b a bore
I've come to realise there are so many talented people around, but trust me, it takes courage and or guts to do something profitable with your talents.
This is where i sign off for now, please do pop in once in  while, possibly drop a few words.
Ciao
